How does this work?
Step 1
Contact an approved Remote Online Notary by email or phone and schedule a time & date for notarization
Step 2
Send the document/s to the notary and verify the ID of everyone involved in the documents with state-approved Id and through the online Knowledge-Based Assessment provided by the Notary platform
Step 3
Once the documents are complete and signed, the notary will then place the electronic seal to the document and the notarization is complete!

On June 7, 2019, HB 409 “Electronic Legal Documents” was signed into law (Chapter 2019-71, Laws of Florida). This law is in effect as of January 1, 2020. Additionally, 1N-7001, Florida Administrative Code outlines the duties and responsibilities of online notaries as well as the procedures for applying. This law authorizes Florida notaries to perform online remote notarizations after the completion of an application and training requirements.
